Celebrating Exam Success after helping Train the Next Generation of Accountants

Manon, who is from Saron, joined the Ashmole & Co team as a Trainee Accountant in July 2020, after graduating from Aberystwyth University with a First in Accounting and Finance. Initially Manon did two weeks work experience with the firm in her second year in University and made such a great impression that she was offered a trainee role once she had graduated. 

 

As well as gaining a first in her degree, Manon, in her final year at University, received the Sir Julian Hodge prize for best performance in Accounting and Finance and the Sir Julian Hodge prize for Advanced Topics in Accounting – Audit.

Manon’s day to day responsibilities include preparing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies; completing VAT returns; helping clients use various accounting software and assisting in audit work. 

 

Manon said, “I am grateful to Ashmole and Co for being so supportive since I started and helping me gain my qualifications. I am enjoying working with local businesses and knowing that I am helping them with their needs. It is very rewarding to see the end results once I complete a client’s set of year end accounts.” 

 

Manon lives in Saron, Ammanford and in her spare time enjoys meeting her friends, taking her dog for walks and baking.
