We are looking for a VAT Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. There are excellent career prospects for this candidate as our firm continues to grow, and we’re looking for a person to match our ambitions.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake the preparation and submission of clients VAT returns for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and Limited Companies using various software packages.
• Communicating with clients and ensuring all VAT deadlines are submitted on time.
• Responsible for the safekeeping of confidential client records including receipts and invoices, in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Respond to enquires from clients, employees and other external sources as required.
• General day to day running of the VAT department and allocation of jobs to the team as well as maintaining manual and computerised records in accordance with legislation and firm’s policies and procedures.
• Have an excellent understanding of VAT procedures to include applying for VAT Registrations, VAT de-registration, TOGCs, change of legal entity and all other VAT related business applications.
• Keep up to date with the HM Revenue and Customs rules and assist and train the team on VAT rules and regulations.
• Be at the forefront of digital technology to give clients access to real time management accounts, which will enable businesses to make informed decisions.
• Undertake other reasonable business tasks as required within the practice.

Part Qualified candidates will be given full support in finalising their aspirations of becoming a Qualified Accountant. Many of the existing partners in the practice have trained with the firm, which highlights the career prospects.
Salary is commensurate on experience.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Hours: Full time. The firm provide extra holidays for long service.
