Ashmole & Co accountants are going from strength to strength with the addition of another new qualified accountant to the firm.
The rural chartered certified accountants are delighted to welcome Heather Pike who has joined the team as a Chartered Accountant in the Carmarthen office.
Heather, who lives in Milford Haven, joined Ashmole & Co last year. Day to day she works as part of the team that prepares accounts for local limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Heather prepares VAT returns for various businesses and does bookkeeping when required. She also assists Ashmole & Co’s trainee staff.
Having obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Economics from Swansea University, Heather then joined a local accountancy firm in her home county of Wiltshire and worked for them for eleven years. Although Heather was born and bred in Wiltshire she decided at the age of 31 to make some lifestyle changes and moved to Pembrokeshire as she has always wanted to live by the sea. She has fallen in love with west Wales and is now selling her house in England to enable her to put down permanent roots here.
Welcoming Heather to the team, Sharon George, Partner in the Carmarthen Ashmole & Co office, said, “Heather’s appointment has strengthened our team in Carmarthen. We now have a team of four qualified accountants to assist local clients with their finances. We are delighted that Heather has joined us; she is a great asset with her vast experience.”
Having moved to the coast Heather purchased a wetsuit within weeks of her move and regularly swims and bodyboards at various places around Pembrokeshire. This year she’s going to invest in a paddleboard and is looking to join a rowing club when they open again.
Commenting on her appointment Heather said, “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to work with the experienced team at Ashmole & Co. December and January are usually the busiest months of the year for accountants and the increased workload puts you under pressure which can be very challenging. This is where being part of a good team like the one here at Ashmole & Co really plays its part.”
