We are delighted to announced the acquisition of the Hammond & Davies accountancy practice which took effect from 1st April 2016.
Due to the retirement of partners Alan Dodds and Amanda Williams at Hammond & Davies, Ashmole & Co. were sought out as potential buyers due to our previous acquisitions of similar sized accountancy practices, and our reputation for dealing with the transition of clients to a new firm.
As a result of this expansion, two new partners have joined the Ashmole team. Laura Craddock will be based in the Ammanford office, and Dave Morgan will be based in the Swansea office. Both are chartered certified accountants and have been with us for over 10 years.
Ceri Llwyd, who has been the senior resident partner in the Llandovery office since 2008, will also be the resident partner in the new Llandeilo office.
As the Hammond & Davies offices were in Llandeilo and Gorseinon we have retained an office presence in Llandelio, and the Gorseinon staff have joined the Ashmole Swansea office.
As a company we now have 12 offices across South Wales, 13 partners, and 80 staff.
Rob Vaughan, partner at the Swansea office, and a chartered accountant since 1993, commented:
“We are excited to be expanding our practice in both the Swansea and Llandeilo areas. We have a strong record of working with small to medium sized businesses, family run firms, and charities. Previous clients of Hammond & Davies who have joined us can be assured of continued high levels of service.
We are glad to welcome the staff from Hammond & Davies who have joined us, and Ashmole & Co. are working closely with both the retiring partners at Hammond & Davies, and all the staff, to ensure that everything works smoothly for the new clients who have joined us.
Although this acquisition consolidates Ashmole & Co.’s position as one of the largest independent firms in Wales, we will maintain our focused approach of offering a personal service through our multiple local offices.”
