Rugby is in his blood

Although the sign above the door has changed, visitors to the new Ashmole & Co office in Neath, will still be greeted by the same friendly faces that worked there under Stockham & Co Accountants.
Steven Hadley started working as an Accountant for GP Stockham and Co in 1987. Steve went to school and college in Neath and passed his AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) exams at West Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education. He worked for Geoff Stockham for over 30 years and continues to work with the same clients now following the acquisition of the firm by Ashmole & Co.
Day to day Steve prepares and finalises year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. He prepares tax returns for individuals and Corporation Tax returns for Ltd companies. He prepares and submits VAT returns, submits confirmation statements for Ltd companies and is always on hand to give expert advice to clients. The most rewarding aspect of the job for Steve is seeing clients happy with the work that he has done for them and knowing that he can help them whenever they need his advice.
Outside of work Steve is happiest when he is on holidays in his caravan in Kenfig with his wife, Cheryl. They enjoy long walks along the beach in Rest Bay most evenings and weekends. Like most of us born and raised in Wales, rugby is in Steve’s blood. He played for his local village team (Tonna) from the age of six to 36. Now that he has retired from playing he enjoys watching rugby as well as golf and American football. Once all the Covid19 restrictions have been lifted Steve and his wife are looking forward to travelling abroad and visiting new countries.
Ashmole & Co expanded into Neath in April 2020 just after the lockdown was announced! Dave Morgan, a Partner in the firm, is based at the Neath office on Windsor Road, along with Steve and Alison Brookes.
