New HR Manager

Successful expansion of Ashmole & Co Chartered and Certified Accountants has resulted in the creation of the new role of Human Resources Manager. The company is delighted to announce that Sarah Stallard has joined the expanding team in the new position which covers all the firm’s offices in Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Gwent. 

 

Sarah, who lives in Gwaen Cae Gurwen, joined Ashmole & Co on 2 January 2020. She is based in the Ammanford and Haverfordwest offices and is responsible for implementing and enforcing HR policies and procedures to create a more structured internal operation. Sarah will cover all aspects of human resources and personnel to include workload and wellbeing. 

 

Originally from Bargoed, Sarah joins the team with 16 years of experience of working in human resources. Prior to starting with Ashmole & Co she was Practice Manager with Gomer Williams, the west Wales firm of solicitors. Sarah has a degree in English and is ILM qualified. She is also trained in mental health first aid, an area that she feels very passionate about. 

 

Welcoming Sarah to the team, Ian Badham, Partner in the Haverfordwest Ashmole & Co office, said, “With almost 100 staff working for Ashmole & Co across south Wales, thanks to our successful expansion over recent years, we felt it was the right time to employ a full-time manager to take care of our human resources. Sarah has a wealth of experience in HR and we are very lucky that she has agreed to join our team.” 

 

Commenting on her appointment Sarah said, “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to work with the experienced team at Ashmole & Co who are one of the most established and largest teams of chartered and certified accountants and auditors in south and west Wales. It’s great to witness a business develop as the result of having human resources managed. The old adage of ‘if you look after the staff, then the staff will look after the business’ is very true.” 

 

In her spare time Sarah is a keen dog walker. Her 11-year-old Schnauzer, called Maggie, is walked regularly over the Black Mountains. Sarah is also preparing for her wedding to her finance Matthew in October 2021.
